Promo videos for schools and online courses: education ads that aren't boring
Promo videos for tutoring centres, online courses and education platforms: platform features told in sync with the voice-over, character-led AI animation films and short infographic videos.
Education ads are either very serious or very boring. An education promo video that works either shows what the platform does, word by word with the voice-over, or tells a story the student sees themselves in. The first convinces a student who is about to decide; the second stops someone who hasn't started looking yet. Both work together in the same campaign.
1. Platform promo: every feature in its own sentence
GYS Adalet is a platform where court staff prepare for promotion exams. There's a lot inside: a daily task list, laws you can listen to as a podcast, swipeable bite-size cards, a contest where you conquer provinces on a map of Turkey, and an AI voice interview. To tell all of it in 90 seconds we went through the platform like a real user, recorded every screen cleanly and locked the edit to the voice-over's words: when it says "podcast" the headphones open, when it says "conquer a province" the map fills in. We cut two short ads from the main film; all were delivered vertical and horizontal.
2. Story film: a world the student sees themselves in
For Ev Dershanem we wrote a neighbourhood story: a young man walking with flowers and a book, two students studying on a balcony and an auntie who sees everything. All the characters and the street were produced as 3D animation with AI; no film crew, set or actors. In a second film we told another story with the same characters. As the characters return, the brand becomes recognisable.
3. Explainer: a complex topic in one minute
Education is about explaining; short explainers show an institution's expertise. For engborsaekran we turned questions like "What happens to my money if my broker goes bust?" into step-by-step infographics. The same method works for exam topics, regulations or formulas.
Video set for an education campaign
| Video | Length | For whom |
|---|---|---|
| Platform promo film | 60–90 s | Those about to decide |
| Short ads (from the main film) | 15–30 s | Those reached through ads |
| Story / character film | 30–60 s | Those not yet looking |
| Explainers (series) | 30–60 s | Followers, loyalty |
Plan around enrolment periods
In education, the ad calendar follows exam and enrolment periods. Making the main film before enrolment opens, and only changing short cuts and current offer cards during the period, protects the budget.
Frequently asked questions
How do you record the platform's screens?
We use a test account to move through the platform like a real user and record every screen cleanly. Personal data is cleaned in the edit.
Can the animated characters be reused in later videos?
Yes. Once designed, characters keep the same look in new stories; turning them into a series makes the institution recognisable.
Who writes the voice-over script?
We write it and send it for your approval. For technical or regulatory content, final review stays with the institution.
Can you also make app store visuals?
Yes. For education platforms with a mobile app: mobile app promo video.
