How much does a motion graphics video cost? The seven things that set the price
What drives the cost of a motion graphics or animated video: length, 2D vs 3D, existing assets, script, sound, number of versions and turnaround. How to get the most from your budget when you ask for a quote.
The price of a motion graphics video is set by the work inside each second, not by the number of seconds. The same 30 seconds can be a clean animation built from ready-made icons or a 3D product film modelled from scratch. Here's what pushes the price up, what brings it down, and how to make the most of your budget when you ask for a quote. We work fully online, so where you are doesn't change the price.
Seven things that set the price
- Length. A 15-second ad and a 90-second explainer need very different amounts of script, design and animation.
- Style: 2D, 3D or mixed. 2D is faster to produce. 3D needs modelling, lighting and rendering.
- Existing assets. Renders, product shots, brand guidelines or screen recordings shorten the job. Drawing everything from scratch lengthens it.
- Script. If you bring the copy, that's one step less. If we write it, script and storyboard go into the quote.
- Sound. Licensed music, sound effects, professional voice-over, more than one language.
- Number of versions. Horizontal, vertical, square; 6, 15 and 30-second cuts. Every version needs its own edit.
- Turnaround. A rush job means the team moves other work aside.
Getting more from the same budget
- One main video, many cuts. Cutting ads and Reels from one main video costs less than making each one separately.
- Send what you already have. The Bella Yacht film was built from design renders, with no budget spent on modelling.
- Think in series. Making a new video each month in the same design language is far more efficient than starting from zero every time.
- Use AI where it fits. In the Ev Dershanem ads, the characters and the street were generated with AI as 3D animation: an animation-studio look in much less time.
What to tell us when you ask for a quote
- Where the video will run (Instagram, YouTube ads, website, trade show)
- How many seconds and how many versions you need
- What material you already have
- A reference video you like
- Your budget range and deadline, if you have them
Sharing a budget range doesn't weaken your position. It lets us plan the best video that budget can buy, instead of promising something it can't.
Why we don't publish a fixed price list
Two "30-second animations" can differ fivefold in effort. A fixed list either pushes you into a package you don't need or leaves half the work out of the quote. So we send every project its own clear quote within 24 hours, with what's included, how many revisions and the delivery date spelled out.
Frequently asked questions
How much information do you need for a quote?
Two lines: what you want to say and where the video will run. We work out the rest together on WhatsApp.
How does payment work?
Usually half up front and half on delivery, by international bank transfer.
Are revisions included?
Yes. Revision rounds at the storyboard stage and after animation are part of the quote. If the scope changes, we talk about it first.
Do you work with clients outside Turkey?
Yes. The whole process is online, in English or Turkish.
